Since we finished the playhouse makeover, I’ve had big plans to decorate it for the different seasons and holidays. Now that Halloween season is upon us, I wanted to spookify the playhouse since Olivia loves all the scary things! Here’s how the playhouse Halloween decor turned out!

I love that Halloween is all about pinks, purples, and pastel orange/peach these days. I’ve been hanging onto Olivia’s birthday barn balloons (similar here) to repurpose them as her playhouse Halloween decor. We popped the cow balloons but kept everything else the same. To tie in some black, I stuck on some bats using double-sided tape – super easy and festive!

You can’t make something scary without creepy cobwebs and spiders. I recently bought this 900-square-foot cobweb and like how soft and stretchy it is. I also got a pack of large, hairy spiders – they look awesome climbing on the playhouse!
In front of the playhouse door, you can place Halloween theme doormats like this one and this one. Then decorate the front with pumpkins, lanterns, and fall mums, or make it spooky with skulls and ghosts.

Finally, you can never have too many skeletons around the house. I love how this skeleton (we call him Mr. Bones) sits on the bench and stares into our souls, lol. Remember to update the chalkboard with Halloween menu items like witches brew and mummy toes…yum!
