Happy first day of fall and almost spooky season! Although I’m behind on decorating this year, I wanted to share my Halloween decor from the past few years! I love decorating for all the different seasons and holidays, but Halloween will be especially fun this time around. Olivia is a Halloween girl, a toddler who oddly loves skeletons and all of the scary stuff, so I’m excited to make our house extra spooky and festive for her. Let’s go down memory lane and see how I previously decorated for Halloween!

Kitchen Halloween Decor
Every year I always put up this fall pumpkin wreath on our kitchen hood. I changed it up last year by spookifying it with spider webs and spiders. I used double-sided tape (better than the stickers they come with) to make it look like these spiders were climbing and invading the kitchen hood. They were seriously creepin’ it real.

I placed these large Dollar Tree bats around my front porch in previous years. Last year, I repurposed them and secured them to our acrylic counter stools using Scotch tape. It’s fun to think of ways to reuse my decor in different rooms to change things up! The best thing about scary decor is that it never goes out of style.

For Halloween snacks, I love the orange Oreos as well as bat and ghost chips from Trader Joe’s. To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of candy corn, but they’re so festive for Halloween and perfect for displaying in apothecary jars! Pro tip: place a cylinder can or cup inside to fill up space, so you don’t need as many treats to fill up a jar. This trick will definitely come in candy.

Mud Room Halloween Decor
You can never have too many bats around the house. I like to make them look like they’re flying into the ceiling for an extra spooky effect. Add some velvet pumpkins, a skull, and spiders, and you’ll be sure to have a boo-tiful mudroom! Don’t forget to change out your pillowcases with fall pattern ones like these: Buffalo Plaid Cover, Windowpane Pillow Cover, African Mudcloth Pillow Cover, and Textured Striped Pillow Cover.

Front Porch Spooky Decor
When is it considered too early to decorate your front porch with Halloween decor? Because I’m ready as of September! One year, I draped cobwebs around the front windows and over-fall mums and lanterns with touches of bats and spiders. Last year, I didn’t have a chance to decorate as much, so I only made Halloween pumpkins using Cricut vinyl. I found the Boo and Trick or Treat images in Cricut Design Space, so it was quick to cut and then adhere them to the pumpkins!

Living Room Decor
As you can see, I really took advantage of putting bats everywhere. They were so easy to stick around my home to give it that extra spooky feeling. The velvet pumpkins made a gorgeous centerpiece on my coffee table, and the skull blended in so well with my interior.

Scary Bar Cart
This Halloween bar cart was from a while ago, but it’s still one of my favorites. Pieces like this are so easy for switching out the decor in between holidays to show off your scary design skills. We kept some of the bar essentials but obviously had to switch to some delicious candy. I layered as many Halloween decorations as possible and loved the way it turned out! This is also a great idea for a serving station if you plan on hosting any spooky parties this Halloween.
