Before we moved into our new home, Jeff and I lived in the perfect small condo that was city chic and had amazing views of the Space Needle. It wasn’t always this perfect, though. We went through a long three month renovation process but the transformation was totally worth it. Even though we don’t live here anymore, this condo will always hold a very special place in our hearts. There’s something about remodeling and designing a home to exactly how you want it that makes you emotionally attached. I’m still shocked by the incredible transformation and am excited to finally be revealing our small condo remodel today!
So here’s the background story of why we started this remodel. Jeff and I were going back and forth a lot from my condo and his. Our condos were only about a 7 minute drive apart but it felt like we were living out of our suitcases. It got old real quick. We talked about moving in together. Jeff wanted me to live at his condo, and I half jokingly said, the only way that would happen is if he renovates his place because my place was a lot newer. After a few months of us still going back and forth, Jeff bought a random Living Social deal for a discounted consultation with an interior designer. We ended up really liking our designer, Fabian, who is the owner of Interior Visions LLC, and went through the actual renovation! Never thought this would’ve happened in a million years, but let’s just say, I happily moved in 🙂
Here are the before and after photos of our small condo remodel. Note that I decorated our place a lot more after I moved in but am bummed that I didn’t take photos!
KITCHEN
The kitchen is the biggest transformation in our condo. We got new white custom cabinets, stainless steel appliances, linear tile backsplash, and quartz countertops. The before kitchen countertop had a raised kitchen island breakfast bar so we removed that to make the countertop all one level. That made the space feel so much more open. We also added in a ton of lights, including two pendant lights, which really brightened up the space.
DINING ROOM
We went with a small round dining table that fits the dining area much more appropriately. The ghost acrylic chairs give an airy feel and I’m still swooning over our chandelier that’s such a statement piece. For entertaining, we’ve had 6 people sit around this round dining table comfortably.
LIVING ROOM
In the living room, we took down the IKEA full wall entertainment center. Jeff originally put this up to cover a fireplace that wasn’t centered and he wasn’t sure how to decorate around that. After taking the entertainment center down, we tiled the fireplace using the same tile backsplash from the kitchen but laid it vertically instead. Having a fireplace makes the space much more cozy and warm! We also kept the arc floor lamp and coffee table but got a new sectional and added a blue egg chair for a pop of color.
BATHROOM
The bathroom was definitely the second biggest transformation in this small condo remodel. We got a new luxurious bath and shower tub, tiled the shower all the way up to the ceiling, and replaced the toilet, vanity, and bathroom fixtures. The LED vanity mirror also makes the small bathroom feel very bright and spacious, and it’s perfect for putting on makeup!
BEDROOMS
As part of this small condo remodel, we installed hardwood floors throughout including in the two bedrooms. In the master bedroom, we purchased a new upholstered bed, positioned it differently, and moved a desk into the second bedroom. This created more space and allowed us to use the second bedroom as a guest bedroom or office.
Shortly after I moved in, of course I justatinabit-fied the place a bit by adding pink books and white faux fur pillows everywhere for a feminine touch :). I’m bummed that I didn’t take photos with our camera before we moved out but here’s what the living room looked like (photo taken from my iPhone).
Hope you guys enjoyed this small condo remodel reveal and I’ll list some of the sources below. I’m planning to do more of these posts in my new home and can’t wait to share with you guys once we start decorating and furnishing it!

THE STYLE CONTOUR
OMGGGG what a beautiful transformation!! I always assumed from the beautiful photos of your old condo that it was designed that way when you moved it. I really appreciate that you kept the same lamp and coffee table from the old space to the revamped space and made it work with the new interior design elements. SO GORGEOUS!

Thanks for sharing this remodeling idea, nice job.
Gorgeous!!! Just curious how much this cost? I’m planning to remodel my condo. Thanks for sharing.
The kitchen blew me the most! The color really suits the place!
Thank you so much! The kitchen was definitely my favorite transformation!
so nice I love it all especially the kitchen and bathroom transformations! Can I ask if you were in a concrete building and if so how you were able to install recessed lighting? i would like to do this as well but I am told that most condos have concrete ceilings with no space to install recessed lighting. Seeing yours gives me hope that it can be done after all!
Hi Dawn! Our condo building is older and not concrete so that made it easier. I don’t really know the process but our electrician was able to install the recessed lighting without any issues. I believe a lot of sheet rock was cut out. Sorry that wasn’t more helpful!
That looks stunning!!! I’m searching for ideas for my new condo and you have me wanting it to look exactly like yours! Would you be able to tell me where you got the dining room light if you happen to remember? Also wondering what Dawn above was asking about the pot lights and a concrete ceiling. TIA
Hi Tracey! I’m so glad this post provided some inspiration! Here is a link to the dining lights: https://rstyle.me/+YuqsHAtWFfLtgF8KqA7Xiw. I also answered Dawn’s question above!
Wow beautiful redesign. I was wondering what paint colours were used that’s exactly what I want in my condo redesign…Thanks
Hi Tina,
I love how your renovation turned out.
I am currently thinking about renovating my Condo, and I’m not sure how much would it cost me. May I ask how much this project cost you?
Thanks,
Chao
This is an absolute glimmering transformation ! It appears so bright and fluffy like a cloud!
Would anyone know the paint colors of the walls and the name/style of flooring that was used? I’m actually doing a similar makeover in my current condo, and trying to find a flooring type similar to this style as well. I just love the look of the overall transformation, it’s incredible.
Any idea how much was invested in the makeover and how much of the work was done by hand or hired? The fact that the lighting fixtures were even changed, I’m assuming that was done by a professional?
Either way, brilliant job !
Really great home look! Thanks a lot for sharing)
