Hi everyone! Wow, I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since I’ve written a post here on the blog but I’m back with this tie sleeve sweater! So much has happened between the last post and today’s post – we hosted our first Christmas for 30 of our family members at the new house, got a rare and magical white Christmas, had a low key birthday celebration, rung in the New Year, got to visit the HGTV Dream Home in Washington, and then Jeff’s parents came to visit from NOLA. This was their first time visiting since we’ve been together (it’s hard for both of them to take time off) and my parents also came up to meet them for the first time ever (yes, it was a huge freakin deal and the good news is that it went well!).
Anyways, how the heck have you guys been? Is it too late to say Happy New Year? hehe I didn’t get to do a 2017 highlight post that I usually do, but I did recently update my blog layout! It looks similar to the last layout but it’s much easier now to search my site. I’m still making some edits so I will show you guys how to navigate my blog in a later post. But, let’s get back into what you’re really here!
You guys all know how much I love bows and I’m so happy that the tie sleeve sweater trend is back again this year! I wore a similar outfit last year but with pumps (see that post here). This time around, I paired my tie sleeve sweater with over the knee boots. This look is comfortable and effortless. I’m loving this tie sleeve sweater because of its dark mustard color and relaxed fit. Plus, it’s under $50! For reference, I’m wearing a Small but I would recommend sizing down. Nordstrom says the XS=00 but I think it should be more 0-2.
Since I love the tie sleeve sweater trend you know I had to get a sweater dress version too! Are you guys digging this trend as much as I am?

20 people! I’m am impressed. I once hosted 17 for Thanksgiving and thought I would die. I was supposed to have 11 and it went down to 9 at the last minute. It still felt like a huge undertaking. You have my utmost respect!
I love the bows on the sweater. Very cute. I have yet to venture to wear my OTK boots with my pleather leggings, but it’s a look I’m drying to try. I just worry people will see my stout little body stuffed into it and think I’m looking silly or like I’m trying too hard and not succeeding. I need more confidence I guess.
