I am so excited to finally be sharing Olivia’s boho-chic nursery! We put a lot of thought and effort into this room and the nursery decor – I completely designed it myself. Jeff and I put a lot of elbow grease into two major DIYs here. When Olivia is older, I hope she will love this room as much as we do! Come on in and take a look!
Before we begin, check out what the nursery room originally looked like. It was actually our random room where we stored extra furniture and a bunch of other stuff. I called it my Monica secret closet lol (from Friends). It has definitely come a long way, hasn’t it?!

NURSERY WALLPAPER
When you walk into the nursery, you’ll instantly gravitate to this gorgeous peachy, floral wallpaper. This featured wallpaper was my inspiration for the entire room and I designed the rest of the nursery decor around it. I usually prefer pink but this peachy color was different and totally caught my eye. I knew I had to get it when I found it!

Putting up this wallpaper was no easy task. As I shared in my How To Put Up Wallpaper on Texted Wall blog post, we made the mistake of originally putting it on our orange peel textured walls. It fell down within a week *womp womp womp*. We had to spend more time and money to put up thin wooden panels and buy a new set of wallpaper. It was a hard lesson learned but I’m so glad we stuck with this wallpaper because it truly makes the room!

CRIB + CANOPY
Against the beautiful wallpaper is Olivia’s crib. I went with a wooden, modern-looking crib and dressed it up with a pom-pom canopy. It was really hard to find a peach-colored canopy but this one matched the wallpaper perfectly!

NURSERY DECOR IN CLOSET
The custom nursery closet was one of my favorite DIY nursery decor projects. I shared the Billy hack here. It’s so much more functional and I can store a lot more baby items! We hang all of her “going out” clothes and coats in here. I’ve also had these ombre storage bins for over 10 years and they’ve been hanging out in other rooms’ top shelf closets. Then I realized how they match the peach theme and they just somehow fit perfectly on the shelves. It’s crazy how everything fell into place without me realizing it!
NURSERY DECOR AND DRESSER
How cute are these DIY photos of Olivia’s three fur siblings?! My heart melts every time I look at this section. We took these while I was still pregnant and the pups just look so darn adorable! We will cherish these photos forever, especially with Chewy’s passing.

This nursery dresser stores all of her PJs, comfy clothes, bows, mittens, swaddles, and sheets. I was eyeing this dresser for a while and love the simple and clean design. I also bought drawer storage bins and labeled each section. It’s the best feeling knowing where everything is!

READING NOOK
We use this reading nook every day to read Olivia’s bedtime stories. This swivel chair isn’t a nursery glider but it’s comfortable and works perfectly here. I like that I can use it later in any other room if we ever decide to move it out of the nursery.

I also love displaying Olivia’s favorite books on these acrylic shelves and they’re within easy reach. The Once Upon A Time sign is from Amazon and a great find. For the final boho-chic touches, I got this cute pouf and side table!

I hope you enjoyed this tour of Olivia’s nursery! Let me know in the comments which part is your favorite nursery decor detail!
