A couple of months ago, I was a bridesmaid for one of my good friends that I’ve known for 10+ years. I was so excited to plan and host her blush and gold bridal shower at my house. It was a labor of love but so worth it to see how happy she was and how beautiful everything turned out!
Picnic Table Hack
Although I initially wanted to set up everything in the backyard, Seattle weather is so finicky in April that we decided to host it inside my house instead. First, we cleared out my living room and moved the major furniture pieces to Olivia’s playroom. I didn’t have any of those picnic-type tables so we used Costco storage bins and put a folding table on top. We hid what was underneath with a white tablecloth and no one suspected it. I learned this awesome picnic table hack from As Told By Michelle and she is incredibly creative!
Mailed Table Setting
For the tablescape, I used Table + Teaspoon. They ship table-setting packages directly to your door. I got The Nash setting and it includes dinner and salad plates, silverware, wine, and water glasses, luxury napkins, and everything you need to create a beautiful and chic tablescape. All items arrived clean, wrapped, and ready to be used. It was very convenient since you don’t have to wash the dishes afterward, and the table setting really elevated the style and look of our blush and gold bridal shower!
Blush and Gold Bridal Shower Decor
The night before the party, we put together as much of the decorations as we could. One of the bridesmaids spent many hours putting together this Amazon blush and gold balloon garland. We also repurposed these BRIDE balloons from the bachelorette party and hung them on the fireplace mantle. Of course, you can never go wrong with lovely and inexpensive flowers from Trader Joe’s. We put them in bud vases varying in sizes and love how they added a whimsical touch.
Bridal Shower Food
For food, we ordered Japanese sandwiches from the popular Tres Sandwich House. The pork cutlet and strawberry filling sandwiches are their staples and a must-order! They were a hit! We also made a Costco run for the rest of the goods – rose, wine, salad, charcuterie board, and fruits.
Custom Trophy Cake + Desserts
Trophy Cupcakes is always my go-to for ordering custom desserts. I show their designers inspiration for what I want and they always nail it! Look at this gorgeous and decadent cake they made! The cupcakes were just as beautiful with coordinating blush buttercream and gold leaf accents. I also ordered strawberry cheesecake macarons with gold leaves on them. We put them in clear macaron boxes and wrapped them in pink velvet ribbon as favors for the guests!
Blush and Gold Bridal Shower Guest Book
If you’re looking for a simple bridal shower guest book idea, we got you. We bought this white scrapbook, a Polaroid camera, and some fun bridal-themed stickers. The bridesmaids walked around to take polaroid photos of the bride with her guests. At the end of the shower, guests could tape their photos to the scrapbook, decorate the space around it with stickers, and write sweet messages to the bride. Such a fun keepsake for our bride to look back on!
