Hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend! It always feels like we are reaching the end of summer after this holiday. One thing I’m going to miss the most about summer is wearing bright, colorful outfits. It’s always so hard finding colorful items during the fall and winter since clothes tend to take on a darker, moody feel. I’ll especially miss wearing a floral midi skirt since summer is the only time I get to wear one!
I’ve worn this floral midi skirt on several different occassions. I first wore it to a Nordstrom blogger event to celebrate the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale where we got early access passes to shop! They even spoiled us with a gift card and treated us to a delicious brunch at the new Department Bento, which is located right in the Bellevue Nordstrom! I definitely repeated this outfit after that for work and summer dinners. It’s so easy to transition this floral midi skirt from business to summer soiree!
This fun and feminine floral midi skirt can actually be paired with a matching crop top, which would make a super chic set. But since I didn’t feel like I would get a lot of wears out of the crop top, I bought only the skirt. I just love the subtle pleated details of the skirt and how it’s soft, flowy and high waisted. It’s so flattering and comfortable to wear! I am thinking about pairing it with a navy, striped long sleeve top as we transition to fall. It’s so fun to mix prints like that! For reference, this floral midi skirt fits true to size and I’m wearing a Small. I’m 5’4” and the skirt hits below my knees.
I’m definitely going to miss wearing summery and happy outfits like this! What summer piece will you miss the most?

That skirt is gorgeous. I must have more clothes in the shade of blue than any other color in the summer.
I will miss my summer clothes too. I love wearing lighter things and brighter colors. Here on the east coast the heat wave is unrelenting. I love hot weather, but the downside is the pools are now mostly all closed. At least I can keep my sundresses and sandals on for a few more weeksk.
