Gingham is one of my favorite prints for the summer months. It comes in so many different sizes and colors, giving you endless outfit options! I’m sharing today this sweet gingham dress. Every time I wear it, I always get compliments, and trust me, I’ve worn it often!
I love this gingham dress because it’s versatile and great for various occassions. At work (I work in a laid back environment), I pair it with a black cardigan to achieve a summery, sophisticated look for the office. I’ve also thrown on a jean jacket over the dress, which gives it a cool, retro vibe. My favorite way to wear this gingham dress is without a cardigan or jacket and let the simple design really speak for itself.
Since I’m only 5’4″, I use the adjustable straps to make this gingham dress the shortest as it can be, just past my knees. The tie in front of the chest also allows you to tighten or loosen it, depending on your chest size. I obviously tighten it as much as I can cause there ain’t not much going on there heheh. But because I need to tighten it so much, the sides (right below the armpit area) do bunch up, but it’s not super noticeable since my arms are usually covering the area.
I’ve been really into comfortable outfits lately so I wear these bow flats almost every day. They just go with everything! I haven’t bought new shoes in a while, but I am on the look out for some new pairs soon, especially with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale coming up later this week!
