Blue Gingham Dress at Discovery Park

Blue gingham dress, summer style, straw hat, Discovery Park photography, Seattle fashion blogger Blue gingham dress, summer style, straw hat, Discovery Park photography, Seattle fashion blogger Blue gingham dress, summer style, straw hat, Discovery Park photography, Seattle fashion blogger Blue gingham dress, summer style, straw hat, Discovery Park photography, Seattle fashion blogger Blue gingham dress, summer style, straw hat, Discovery Park photography, Seattle fashion blogger Blue gingham dress, summer style, straw hat, Discovery Park photography, Seattle fashion blogger Blue gingham dress, summer style, straw hat, Discovery Park photography, Seattle fashion blogger Blue gingham dress, summer style, straw hat, Discovery Park photography, Seattle fashion blogger
With summer coming to an end, I wanted to shoot at one of my favorite spots in Seattle – Discovery Park. I last took photos here two years ago (how time flies!). I knew this blue gingham dress would look pretty against the tall grass fields. Plus, this dress is super comfortable and I love wearing it all the time!

This blue gingham dress makes the perfect lightweight summery outfit. Every detail is on point from the subtle gingham print to the front buttons. My absolute favorite detail has to be the adorable bow ties, which are adjustable and can be tied to wherever you like (I like mine on the top of my shoulders). To be honest, I had the hardest time tying the bows myself so luckily Jeff was always around to help me out – he’s become quite the bow tying expert! If you don’t have someone to help you out, try tying the bows before putting the dress on.

This blue gingham dress fits true to size and I’m wearing an XS for reference. I seriously wore this dress to many different occasions from a blogger event to celebrate National Smores Day to a friend’s BBQ housewarming party. As you can tell from the theme, this dress is perfect for food occasions to hide that food belly ;).

Discovery Park is one of my favorites since it’s the largest park right in the city. It has incredible views of the Puget Sound and both the Cascade and Olympics mountains. We took our three little pups on this photoshoot, and right after we were done, it was their time to play – they had a blast running around! We also trekked over to the other side of this park (where the lighthouse is) to catch the amazing pink sunset! You can see that photo I posted on Instagram here. Where are some of the best places to a catch a sunset in your city?
