Holiday Outfit Idea with a Tulle Skirt

T minus 4 days until Christmas Day! With so many festivities and parties coming up, I’m sharing this tulle skirt holiday outfit idea with you guys. I always save a tulle skirt for the holidays or special occassions since it’s such a statement maker. Isn’t it so fun to go all out and get glammed up during this time of year?

It’s still one of my favorite looks to date with the most darling bow detail and pretty burgundy color! This time, I pulled out the exact tulle skirt that I last wore to celebrate my one year blogversary a few years ago. That was during the summer so you can see how I restyled this tulle skirt for the holidays!

For this holiday outfit idea, I paired my tulle skirt with a casual red striped top and these fabulous red bow pumps. Aren’t these pumps the sweetest things ever? With the red wrapped gifts and the festive background at Pioneer Square, it was the perfect holiday shoot! But here’s the BTS (behind the scenes) truth – the struggle was real. The weekend that we planned to do this shoot, it was raining cats and dogs. I kept checking the weather app and we saw that we had an one hour rain break. But once we got to this location, it was STILL pouring. So we did what every normal person would – camped out in our car and drank hot bubble tea (of course) for at least an hour until the rain finally stopped. It was so funny, right when the rain stopped, we booked it to this location. I was running in my heels and we probably looked a little (ok maybe very) crazy with the cold, rain, and gifts heheh. I absolutely LOVE how the photos turned out, though, so it was all worth it!

    I clearly remember this skirt from your one year blogiversary and it’s so nice to see how you styled it for the holidays. I think that striped top adds such a nice pop of color. And I really admire your dedication to taking photos despite the nonstop rain the PNW. The struggle is real!

    I love your tulle skirt. My inner ballerina (who adamantly refuses to manifest herself on the outside) has caused me to love tulle skirts. So gorgeous. I never go to holiday occasions that require this level of dressiness though. When the occasion comes, I know I’ll be rushing to the store for one!
