This pantry was STRESSING me out! I finally took everything out, tossed so many expired items, and grouped everything by category. The best part is that I barely bought any new containers!

Here’s what I did differently:
• Low-profile baskets for small snacks: I can actually see everything now instead of digging through big baskets of random snacks.
• Less decanting: I had way too many jars, and transferring everything was extra work for items we barely used.
• Labeled everything: I never really labeled before, which made it way too easy to forget what we had.
• Ditched the rolling can rack: Cans in the back were always getting forgotten so now I use a behind-the-door organizer where I can see everything at once.

I LOVE how this pantry organization turned out, and I’m actually confident we can keep it this way! 🙌🏼 #pantryorganization #kitchenorganizationideas

Fall Decor Home Tour 2020

Fall is in full swing here in Seattle. Temps have dropped into the 50s, the air is fresh and crisp, and the leaves are vibrant and colorful. This is the first year that I decorated our home for fall and I was inspired by all of the beautiful orange and yellow leaves around me. I loved adding these pop of colors to our living room, kitchen, and media room. Come on in and enjoy this fall decor home tour!

Let’s start off with the kitchen. I kept the fall decor pretty minimal here with a couple of pumpkins and a fall arrangement. I also love hanging a wreath at the top of our kitchen hood – this fall wreath is from Homegoods that I used for the front porch last year!

Moving into the living room…I kept the fall decor theme of this room bright and airy! I like keeping my furniture neutral to easily add color using accessories. I decorated with pops of mustard yellow using velvet pumpkins, pillow throws, and faux florals and garland. With the fireplace on and a lit candle, the room felt so cozy and relaxing!

For the media room, I went with a dark and moody fall decor theme. We DIY’d this grey board and batten wall over the summer, and it’s by far my favorite project we’ve ever done! I’ll be sure to share a tutorial soon! With the dark grey paint color, I thought orange would be a beautiful contrast, and I absolutely love how it turned out. Look at that huge statement wreath! The ‘thankful’ pillow will transition perfectly through Thanksgiving!
