Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary party because that clip of them dancing and my dad dancing with my daughters will forever be one of my favorite memories 🥹

My parents fled Vietnam in 1975 after the war ended. When they arrived in Washington to meet their sponsors, my dad happened to see my mom and aunt at the airport struggling and not knowing any English. He stepped in to help them then pursued my mom for the next six months. They got married shortly after in 1976 and the rest is history!

As recent refugees starting over in a new country, they didn’t have much money, so they had a small, simple wedding. That’s why I knew I wanted to make their 50th anniversary party extra special and give them the beautiful celebration they never had. Happy 50th anniversary to my parents!! ❤️🥂 #50years #anniversaryparty

Polka Dot Jumpsuit in New Orleans

It’s been so long since I’ve worn jumpsuits that I almost forgot how comfortable they are! You can see my last jumpsuit outfit here from three years ago. After a hiatus from them, I finally got this new polka dot jumpsuit, which I brought with me to New Orleans last month! I wore this outfit on our last day in NOLA and for our flight back home to Seattle later that evening. Literally felt like I was wearing pajamas!

As I was shopping for some clothes for Southern my trip (we also road tripped to Atlanta), I found this polka dot jumpsuit that was perfect for traveling. I like to keep my outfits light and airy for New Orleans, because this girl is NOT used to the humidity at all hehe. This jumpsuit was so effortless and easy to wear. The fabric is cool and soft, and I love that the straps are adjustable. It looks great worn alone or styled with a jean jacket, which was much needed for my flight! The only I would say about jumpsuits is that it feels a little weird going to the bathroom because you basically get nakey LOL. For reference, I am wearing a size Small and it fits true to size. It also laces up in the back so you’re able to tighten or loosen it for a better fit.

We only had two full days in New Orleans and, of course, I had to go back to this famous pink wall. It’s one of my favorite walls ever. I mean, look at how cute and charming it is! I love how my navy polka dot jumpsuit pops against such a pretty, bright color! Right before taking these photos, we also had to indulge in delicious creole food. We tried out Oceana Grill for the first time, and we’ll definitely be back on our next visit! It had such a chill vibe and the alligator bites and poboys were to die for!

This is such a chic jumpsuit, Tina! It really would make for the perfect sightseeing look, especially in New Orleans since it allows for a bit of extra comfort when over-indulging. I hope you had an incredible time! New Orleans is one of my favorite cities.
