It’s not Throwback Thursday yet but we are throwing it back early to when I road tripped to California with my family last month! I wore this faux wrap dress on one of the days we were in San Jose but didn’t get a chance to take a photo. So on our last free day, I wanted to make a trip to San Francisco to take two outfit photos – this outfit and the outfit I wore when Jeff proposed to me (eeekkk, more about that in a later post)!
While in California, my parents wanted to go to San Jose to eat all of the yummy Vietnamese food. San Jose has a huge Vietnamese population so of course the food there is authentic and legit! We went to a place called Story Mall. Awesome place for food but definitely no Instagram worthy spots. We weren’t sure if we would even have time to take any photos on this trip since we were with my family the whole time.
On the last night of our trip, we decided to try to catch the last two hours of sunlight in San Francisco. Since we stayed in San Mateo, which is about 20 minutes away from SF, we rushed to the Marina District since I knew this was a beautiful and affluent area by the water. We stumbled upon this house and snapped some quick photos of this faux wrap dress in front of it. We were in such a rush since I really wanted to make sure we could get the second set of photos in with my red dress at the Golden Gate bridge. We probably took these photos in 10 minutes and I’m so happy they turned out well! Also, side note, can I move into this house?
As for this outfit, this faux wrap dress is currently 40% off with very limited sizes left. It looks like a skirt and top combination but it’s actually one dress! The fabric is made of thick linen but it got wrinkly SO easily! I spent a good amount of time steaming it but right after sitting down, it immediately got wrinkled. Nonetheless, this dress is so flattering on and really accentuates the waist. There’s also a large bow in the back that you have to tie – it was really long so Jeff helped me but I’ve seen a few people tie it towards the front too. Also, how adorable are the ruffle sleeves and hemline? It does run large so I would recommend sizing down. It was somewhat difficult to put on but worth it for how adorable the faux wrap dress is!
