You guys!! It is currently snowing outside as I’m writing this post! If this isn’t the most appropriate time to share a couple of snow outfits that I never posted, I don’t know when is! My parents got a ton snow the last couple of days (they live an hour away from me) but the snow barely made it to Seattle, until today. Fingers crossed that it sticks so that I can work from home and get in some snow ball fights hehe (watch out, Jeff!).
Is anyone still getting snow where you live? It doesn’t snow very often in Seattle so when it does, I’m like the happiest kid. I make Jeff layer up with me and we will go outside to make snow angels and snowmen. It’s even easier now that we have a yard!
So here are two snow outfits that I wore when we got our first white Christmas back in December. In the first outfit, I’m all layered up in a thick cable knit sweater and hooded duffle coat. I piled on the accessories like a blanket scarf, mittens, and pom pom beanie. I also have on rain boots which work fine for the snow in Seattle, but this probably wouldn’t fly in the Midwest or East coast. This is the kind of outfit I would wear to play in the snow because of all the layers.
In the second outfit, I have on much lighter layers with a buffalo plaid jacket and fuzzy sweater underneath. I’m also wearing UGG boots and the same pom pom beanie. This outfit is more of a running errands kind of look since I’m outside for just a tina bit. But oddly enough, I don’t think it gets cold here as much as the Midwest and East coast. I have a co-worker from Virginia working out of our office this week, and he said, even though it’s the same temperature here as back home (about 32 degrees), it feels a lot warmer here and he doesn’t need as many layers. I still haven’t experienced a Midwest or East coast winter to know the difference but I think I’ll keep it that way for a while hehe.
Do you get snow often and what are some tips you have for putting together snow outfits, especially if you’re not from the West coast?

Cute layering! It doesn’t snow here in San Francisco but it has been quite cold lately. Base layers and layering are key!

Obsessed with both of these winter outfits! Such great cozy coats-especially the buffalo plaid. I needed a little winter inspiration because I don’t think it’s going to warm up anytime soon!

So, I haven’t been here in a while and I just noticed the new template. I love it! I also love both these snow outfits! The buffalo plaid coat in the second outfit looks so, so cozy! And have I mentioned that I was totally inspired by you to purchase a white pom pom beanie? Anyway, hope you’re doing well!
