Red Smock Dress

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve published two blog posts in one week (I’ve been a terrible blogger lately!). But I have a ton of summer looks I want to post before fall is officially here. First up, this vibrant red smock dress that I just wore this past Sunday! I recently got this from Asos and it’ll be perfect for transitioning to fall. I’m excited to wear it with over the knee boots too!

I love finding a casual cute dress that I can wear for both work and play, and this smock dress fits the bill. How adorable are the small ruffle details around the neck line and sleeves? I also really like the shirred-stretch panel at the chest area. It has a relaxed fit and is comfortable all around.

For reference, I’m wearing a regular size 2 and it fits true to size. The chest area is slightly tight and fitted, so if you have a larger chest, I would recommend sizing up. This smock dress also comes with a red cami dress liner, which is a huge bonus since I hate it when dresses are sheer and see-through. If you’re not into the bright red color, this dress is also available in olive.

Baublebar recently sent me these ball drop earrings, and I realized it’s the same exact color as the smock dress. I’m usually not one to be matchy matchy but I thought this made a fun combination this time around!

Can you guess where I wore this smock dress to on Sunday? If you saw my Insta-Story, yep you’re right, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen hehe. If you guys know me, I love all things fast food. I actually never tried Popeyes until Jeff came into my life. He was raised in New Orleans where Popeyes originated from so he grew up eating a lotttt of fried chicken. Thanks to him, I’m also hooked on Popeyes now!

    Girl, I feel you! Since having Aviah, my time has been non existent. I try to catch up with blogging as best as I can, but there are some days that it’s just not possible…LIFE! Anyway, you look gorgeous in this red dress; red is your color. I haven’t had Popeyes in so long, but I remember being obsessed with their biscuits! They and Red Lobster have the best, don’t they?!     I’m tempted to get it, but it’s reminding me of a red dress I already have in my wardrobe so I should give that a wear instead! 🙂
