The first sunny weekend of the year in Seattle calls for a pretty floral maxi dress! Maxi dresses are totally my summer jam because they are so effortless and comfortable. They’re also perfect for many occasions whether you’re headed to the beach or glamming up for a wedding. I’m sharing my current, must-have 20 maxi dresses under $100!
I can’t believe the sun finally came out – yes, in the middle of freaking May. It’s been such a rough winter so I was really excited to be able to flaunt this gorgeous floral maxi dress that I recently got from ASOS. The pink roses against the white make this a really sweet and romantic dress, and I also adore the ruffles around the arm holes (you know I always like a good frilly detail!). This floral maxi dress fits true to size, but it’s long on my 5’4″ petite frame so heeled sandals are a must if you’re short like me!
P.S. I just realized that you’re supposed to put your arms through the ruffle sleeves like shown on the model hehe! I totally didn’t know that until writing this post. I’ll just call myself a trend setter and say that you can wear it both ways! 😉
If you ask me, I think maxi dresses are great for everyone since they’re flattering for all body types, are so forgiving (hallelujah!), and come in many different styles – feminine, boho chic, glamorous, edgy, you name it! Like I said, they’re also ultra comfortable (I mean, hello, I could sit criss-cross apple sauce in them!) and easy throw-on-and-go kind of pieces for beach days (they can double as beach cover-ups!), brunch, bridal showers, date night, travel, and even weddings! With some heels and accessories, you can easily transition a maxi dress from day to night!
Because maxi dresses are so awesome, I searched through my favorite retailers and rounded up my top 20 maxi dresses under $100 for you!
