Happy Halloween everyone! Although I don’t have a new costume to share with you this year, I do have this brand new cocoon sweater cardigan that I couldn’t wait to wear!
But first, in honor of Halloween, check out this old post from a couple of years ago that’s an absolute favorite of mine. My boyfriend (aka the Instagram Husband), our three little pups, and I were dressed in homemade dinosaur costumes and got professional photos taken by our friend. Yes, we are super dorky, but this post is totally us! I actually wore this costume again to work last Friday and knocked over quite a few kids with my tail (ok, maybe just one).
Ok so back to this cocoon sweater. I recently got it from Nordstrom and it’s super plush and soft. For someone that is sensitive to sweater fabrics, this one didn’t make me feel itchy at all and it also doesn’t pill. In terms of fit, the cocoon sweater is meant to fit oversized. I’m wearing my regular size (XS) and it definitely fits true to size. The length is also longer so this is perfect for those lazy leggings days. If you’re not a blush pink kind of girl, this cocoon sweater comes in a pretty heather grey as well. The price is reasonable at $75 and feels high quality!
For a casual fall day out on the town, I wore the cocoon sweater with these flat over the knee boots. I know, these shoes have been on heavy rotation. But can you blame me? They easily make every outfit so incredibly chic. Plus, grey and blush always look good together. And because I love these over the knee boots so much, I’m planning to buy the heeled version in black now!
