So many good things are happening in our lives right now so the boyfriend and I wanted to celebrate with a date night! It was a beautiful evening and I couldn’t have found a more gorgeous full lace skirt to celebrate in.
We don’t splurge very often, but ended up going all out this last Friday evening. We made dinner reservations at one of my favorite seafood restaurants on the Seattle waterfront, Aqua by El Gaucho. Trust me, we had quite the seafood feast. We ordered the Seafood Bachannalia and it had everything from seared scalloped and grilled prawns to wild king crab leg and steamed lobster tail (my first time every trying it!). And the best part? We sat outside on the waterfront restaurant patio and watched the most incredible sunset. Nothing beats Seattle’s pink skies and the sun setting over the mountain range.
From my short walk from the car to the restaurant, I got quite a few compliments on this full lace skirt. It makes you feel just like a princess! The embroidered design is intricate and delicate, and I love the scalloped hem line. For reference, I’m wearing a US size 4 and it runs small (I’m usually a size 0 or 2). There’s also no stretch so I definitely recommend sizing up. In terms of the length, I’m 5’4″ and this full lace skirt hits right at my knees. So although this is a petite sized skirt, I think it could work for taller ladies since it would probably hit a little bit above the knees.
Keeping the full lace skirt as the star of the show, I styled it with simple items like this white camisole from Uniqlo and my favorite nude ankle strap sandals. Always a classic combination when you wear full skirts!
