I can’t believe this is my first denim shorts outfit of the year! But when it hits 90 degrees in Seattle, it’s just a no brainer!

I love denim shorts but the last couple that I had either shrunk or ripped. So this time, I invested in my first nice pair of One Teaspoon denim shorts! So far they seem to be good quality and have kept their size and shape after a couple of washes. I also love the button details on them – little details like these always make a difference! I’ve also tried on several other One Teaspoon shorts and they typically run big on me. These ones actually fit true to size and I’m wearing a 25 for reference. It looks like these shorts are now sold out but I found an exact version in a lighter wash here.

You can wear denim shorts with literally anything. But since denim shorts are a little more “masculine” to me, I like to pair them with something more feminine. This frilly red off the shoulder top was exactly what I needed. It fits true to size and I’m wearing an XS. This off the shoulder is actually really long (past my hips) so I tucked it in for a more polished look. Plus, I’m not really into the no-pants kind of look, which seems to be kind of in these days. This top also comes in a blush pink that would’ve been really pretty too!

I wore this denim shorts outfit to dinner with my bocce ball league teammates (do I sound nerdy or what?). We won the entire league and were out celebrating our championship! We went to SOI, an authentic Thai restaurant that has very unique and delicious dishes (Pad Thai wasn’t even on the menu). These photos were taken right outside of the restaurant since I love white brick walls! If you’re ever in the area and feeling adventurous, definitely give this place a try!
