I can always count on an A line skirt when I want to up my chic factor. They are just so flattering for all shapes and sizes. Whether you have a straight body shape (like me), pear, apple, or hourglass, an A line skirt cinches at the waist and shows off the slimmest part of your body. It may sound too good to be true, but it’s seriously a fool proof style that will always look good on you!
I am totally digging this particular stripe A line skirt because of its casual and summery feel. I love the vertical stripes and the subtle American flag details on the buttons (would be perfect for July 4th!). The skirt is actually one size fits all, which is usually too big for me, but surprisingly it fit me just right this time! There is an elastic band in the back so I can see how it could stretch. The length also worked well for me, falling right at my knees on my 5’4″ petite frame.
In terms of quality, this stripe A line skirt is pretty great, especially for only $18! I’ve washed and dried it several times and it’s still beautiful – buttons in tack and all! You just have to iron it well after taking it out of the dryer (lay flat to dry for better results). Occasionally, I’ll also find a few hemline strands hanging, but just snip them off and you’re good as new!
I’m wearing my stripe A line skirt with a dressy white tee and my favorite lace up sandals. Wouldn’t it be super cute with a plain white crop top too? So many ways to style this skirt and it’s definitely going to be a summer staple!
