Check Skirt + Over the Knee Boots

justatinabit-red-coat-check-skirt-dolce-vita-neeley-over-the-knee-boots-bp-geometric-blanket-scarf-fall-outfit-3 justatinabit-check-skirt-loeffler-randall-lock-clutch-fall-outfit-2 BP geometric blanket scarf
Top: Asos (similar here, splurge on this)
Bottom: Nordstrom Halogen Check Skirt (love this scallop hemmed version)
Coat: Banana Republic (love this, splurge on this)
Shoes: Dolce Vita Neeley Over the Knee Boots (also available here)
Bag: Loeffler Randall Lock Clutch
Scarf: Nordstrom BP Geometric Blanket Scarf
Tights: DKNY Opaque Tights

Who says you can’t wear skirts or dresses during the fall? I sure didn’t and I’ll tell you why! Skirts and dresses are super easy to transition into the colder seasons. Simply wear the skirt or dress with tights and boots – can be booties, knee high boots, or over the knee boots – and it’s easy as that! For the top, you can add a leather jacket, a coat, or long cardigan!

Today’s look, which I actually wore to work yesterday, incorporates these simple solutions. I last wore this check skirt when I was in Japan during springtime with a pink vest, and today I’m pairing it with a cozy sweater. I also paired it with DKNY opaque tights, which I seriously swear by! I wear them every year since they are the perfect opaqueness and don’t crinkle or fall at the ankle area. And of course, I can’t forget about my one and only (at least for now) Dolce Vita Neeley over the knee boots. I can’t stress enough how comfortable they are and how chic they make any outfit!

To top off this fall outfit, I added several accessories like this Nordstrom BP geometric blanket scarf (I love that it’s super thick and ONLY $26!), a cheetah print Loeffler Randall Lock clutch (my once in a while splurge), and this gorgeous red coat that I got from Banana Republic a couple of years (but it’s still one of my favorites)!
