We are back from our Hawaii babymoon, which made me realize I never shared our Hawaii family photos earlier this year. This was our first vacation since the pandemic and Olivia’s first trip ever. I brought along my parents, my brother, and his girlfriend, which means it was also our first family trip in over a decade! It was a memorable getaway, so I knew I wanted to hire a professional photographer to capture Hawaii family photos for us. It’s so rare that we have photos together, and now I have these to cherish forever!

We took these photos during sunset on our favorite island, Oahu, at Lahaina Beach during a beautiful evening. But to be honest, it was windy, and Olivia was quite grumpy since she didn’t take a nap – she didn’t have it at all. I was disappointed after the photo shoot and didn’t think we got any good shots. To my surprise, the photos turned out great! Although Olivia wasn’t smiling in these Hawaii family photos, she didn’t look like she was crying the entire time, so that was a big win! Here are some of my favorite shots.

You can never go wrong with white and beige for an airy vibe for beach photos. I like that we had different textures and lengths of clothes to break up the monotonous white and beige. I wore this flowy maxi white dress with gold stripes. I dressed Olivia in this adorable white tulle dress, and let my brother’s girlfriend borrow my go-to white dress – it looks amazing on her!

10/10 I recommend taking Hawaii family photos – you’ll always have these to look back on, and Hawaii never fails to provide the most beautiful backdrop. So if you’re headed to Oahu, let Marissa know I sent you!
