My favorite time of the year is here! I absolutely love the holidays with all of the fun festivities, holiday decor, and of course, Christmas lights! This year, Seattle got a grand visit from Enchant Christmas, the world’s largest Christmas light maze. I got to see Enchant Christmas Seattle for myself during the Paws & Claus special event where we were able to bring along our fur babies! If you missed this one, there is another Paws & Claus night on 12/27. I’m sharing all of the insider tips for attending Enchant Christmas Seattle in this post!
Enchant Christmas is packed with fun activities for the whole family. Not only is there the beautiful light maze itself, there is a cute ice skating rink, a Christmas Market full of local vendors, free Santa and Mrs. Claus photo ops, and a variety of food and drinks. I’ll talk more about the details of each below as well as other tips for attending Enchant Christmas Seattle.
How to buy tickets and when to go: First step is to purchase tickets to enter! You can buy them directly online or at the gates. Weekends are pricier and more crowded. I highly recommend going on weeknights, if possible. When purchasing tickets, you select your arrival time slot, but you can stay as long as you want. However, once you leave the maze, there is no re-entry. Also consider going on Jolly Days for additional savings!
Where to park: Parking is available at the Safeco Field Garage and is across the street from the Field. You can purchase parking ahead of time online and save $10 (versus paying at the garage)! When you prepay, parking is $15 on the weekends and $10 on weekdays. Definitely look into this ahead of time since prepaid parking tickets are limited.
What to bring: You’ll definitely want to bring a camera to capture all of the Enchant Christmas Seattle Instagram-worthy moments! There are endless photo ops at every turn. You can bring in your camera phones and even DSLR; however, during security check-in, they mentioned that selfie sticks are not allowed. Also bring your own ice skates if you want to save money on ice skate rentals!
What to wear: Enchant Christmas Seattle is located at Safeco field and is fully covered and indoors. Even though it’s inside, it is still pretty chilly. I would recommend bringing a coat. I wore a sweater and coat, and as it got colder that evening, I put on my beanie. I would also wear comfortable shoes as you’ll need to walk down a large set of stairs to get to the light maze. In addition, there are bag size restrictions so make sure to check the bag policy.
Ice skating: I wish I got to go on the ice skating rink, but it was justttt a tina bit difficult with three dogs. It’s a small rink but it looked really cute with the lights and holiday decor. You can rent ice skates for $10 or bring your own at no cost.
Santa and Mrs. Claus Photos: You can take personal photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus for free! We unfortunately missed out on this since we got confused with the signs and thought you had to pay. You can actually use your own camera, and a professional photographer will also take photos for you that can be purchased.
Food & drinks: We didn’t try out the food and drinks, but several Safeco Field restaurants (like Ivar’s) were open for business. I also saw stands for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, hot chocolate included of course! We started on the Keto diet and sadly didn’t get to indulge in any of the treats.
Paws & Claus: There are two Paws & Claus nights where you can bring in your fur babies to walk the maze and experience the twinkling lights! The first one, which we got to attend, already passed but there’s another one on 12/27/18. They get dog treats at the end of the maze and photos with Santa! Check the Paws & Claus rules and you must purchase tickets in advance for this special event.
Is it worth going?: This is probably the most asked question I’ve gotten so far. The lights are pretty and there are so many beautiful photo opportunities. We are lucky that Enchant Christmas started in Vancouver, BC last year and is now right in Seattle’s backyard for the first time! However, tickets are expensive and with parking, food, and rentals, it can add up real quick, especially for families. With that being said, I think it’s worth checking out the world’s largest Christmas light maze at least once because I’m not sure when you’ll get this chance again. However, I would highly recommend going on a weeknight to ensure you have the best experience at the best price. Follow my tips I noted above (like going on Jolly Days or purchasing prepaid parking tickets) to get the most bang for your buck!
I hope all of these tips for attending Enchant Christmas Seattle have been helpful! Tag me in your photos if you go, I would love to see them!

This looks so amazing! I’m based in the UK and we have something similar called Winter Wonderland. It’s not on the same scale as this Enchanted place but it’s beautiful. I love this time of year and the various light displays. It’s so festive.

These are beautiful photos Tina and what an experience! I totally would go if they were in my neck of the woods. I am sucker for lights and anything photo op and not just because I blog but because of my son! Hehe He would totally love it to see so many bright lights and festivities. But I do agree with you it’s a one in the lifetime experience especially since they aren’t staying in one place.

Whatsize are you wearing sweater? I read it is made big.
Tina says
Hi Amanda! The sweater runs true to size and slightly small for me since I’m in between an XS and Small right now. I got the XS and thought I could’ve gotten the S for a looser fit. Hope that helps!
