Back to School: Dark Floral Kimono Outfit

I’m kicking off August with a back-to-school post! I remember I used to get so excited for school to start up again. I loved shopping for new school supplies, a backpack, and of course, fresh fall clothes! I’m excited to share with you some fun fall items, like this dark floral kimono, I found from the Kohl’s Juniors department that are chic yet budget-friendly!

Kohl’s actually didn’t come to Washington until I was in college. I remember it was such a big deal for Olympia, which is where I grew up, to get a new department store in our small town. When I was in college, I didn’t live near a Kohl’s so every time I went home to visit my parents, I always wanted to make a trip to Kohl’s. Especially as a college student, I really appreciated the huge selection of clothes and accessories at very reasonable prices! My favorite was scoring items from the Lauren Conrad collection.

For this post, I shopped through the Kohl’s Juniors department to put together this bohemian, fall outfit. Fall is all about layers so I wanted to start the transitioning period with a lightweight, dark floral kimono. I love the moody floral print and the fun fringe details at the trim. I found this mauve t-shirt on sale for only $12.99 and it coordinated perfectly with the kimono! You can definitely be bolder with a blue or burgundy top underneath to pull out these subtle colors from the dark floral kimono. To my surprise, both items I picked out turned out to be from the Mudd brand. This brand carries a lot of great basics plus some fun, printed pieces to elevate those basics!

    This is such a cute outfit! I love the kimono, it dresses up the outfit a bit with the beautiful floral pattern and I love the color combination, too! I haven’t shopped at Khols in a while, I’ll have to check them out for both me and Aviah; I’ve heard that they have cute baby clothes, too!     You look fantastic in this! I love the ripped jean and kimono combo, and those earrings are so cute on you. I know what you mean about Kohl’s! Once it came to Richmond, it was pretty much a black hole vacuum for me that would suck me into the juniors section for hours. And hours. My parents would finally pull me out with like, 20 pieces that I couldn’t live without! 😂😂

    I have been looking for a kimono to buy and I like the print on this! I will definitely check it out. I enjoyed back to school shopping too! It was always something to look forward to during a new school year. While I have been out of school for awhile, my son starts preschool in 3 weeks so we are out today for his back to school shopping!
