Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary party because that clip of them dancing and my dad dancing with my daughters will forever be one of my favorite memories 🥹

My parents fled Vietnam in 1975 after the war ended. When they arrived in Washington to meet their sponsors, my dad happened to see my mom and aunt at the airport struggling and not knowing any English. He stepped in to help them then pursued my mom for the next six months. They got married shortly after in 1976 and the rest is history!

As recent refugees starting over in a new country, they didn’t have much money, so they had a small, simple wedding. That’s why I knew I wanted to make their 50th anniversary party extra special and give them the beautiful celebration they never had. Dress and Over the Knee Boots Outfit + A Big Announcement!

Hi everyone! I am back from Hawaii and have a big announcement to share, which explains why I’ve been so absent on here the last couple of months! I’m also sharing this dress and over the knee boots outfit – a classy yet sexy combination that I’ve been loving this fall!

Dress and over the knee boots, fall fashion, cute fall outfit, burgundy fit flare dress, petite Seattle fashion blogger, BB Dakota dress, Marc Fisher over the knee bootsDress and over the knee boots, fall fashion, cute fall outfit, burgundy fit flare dress, petite Seattle fashion blogger, BB Dakota dress, Marc Fisher over the knee bootsDress and over the knee boots, fall fashion, cute fall outfit, burgundy fit flare dress, petite Seattle fashion blogger, BB Dakota dress, Marc Fisher over the knee bootsMarc Fisher Alinda over the knee boots outfit, fall fashion, petite Seattle fashion bloggerDress and over the knee boots, fall fashion, cute fall outfit, burgundy fit flare dress, petite Seattle fashion blogger, BB Dakota dress, Marc Fisher over the knee bootsDress and over the knee boots, fall fashion, cute fall outfit, burgundy fit flare dress, petite Seattle fashion blogger, BB Dakota dress, Marc Fisher over the knee bootsDress and over the knee boots, fall fashion, cute fall outfit, burgundy fit flare dress, petite Seattle fashion blogger, BB Dakota dress, Marc Fisher over the knee bootsDress and over the knee boots, fall fashion, cute fall outfit, burgundy fit flare dress, petite Seattle fashion blogger, BB Dakota dress, Marc Fisher over the knee bootsDress and over the knee boots, fall fashion, cute fall outfit, burgundy fit flare dress, petite Seattle fashion blogger, BB Dakota dress, Marc Fisher over the knee bootsIt can be difficult to pull off a dress and over the knee boots because it can look TOO sexy sometimes. My tip for avoiding this is to find the right dress – look for a cute and stylish dress that is somewhat conservative, not too short, and slightly loose. I don’t know what it is but a peek of the thighs can be so provocative. When wearing a dress and over the knee boots, I tend to lean towards looser dresses or A-line shaped ones like this fit and flare dress I’m wearing. Unless you’re a Kim Kardashian or going to a club, definitely don’t wear a bodycon dress with over the knee boots because you might get the hooker vibes, you feel me? hehe

It’s also important to find really well fitting over the knee boots that are slimming and flattering on your legs. This will pull the look together and make you look chic. I swear by these over the knee boots that I’ve been wearing since last year and you can read my full review. I recently purchased over the knee boots that ended up being ill-fitting and it just made my outfits look sloppy.

So on to the big news! We purchased a new home! It’s been so hectic with juggling work, closing on the home, and fitting in Hawaii between it all. The blog has been falling lower and lower on the priority list unfortunately hehe. If you guys are familiar with the Seattle housing market, it is literally INSANE right now. Over the last couple of years, Seattle has consistently been number one in the nation with THE biggest housing price increases. Bidding wars are completely normal here (one coworker has lost out on at least 7 bidding wars already) and houses can go over $150,000 of the asking price. Crazy, right? We were really lucky to have found this brand new house and I’m so excited to be sharing this next big step with you guys as we decorate the new home and make lots of happy memories here. You can read more about this announcement on my Instagram and even check out my Insta Stories for a full tour! It expires on 11/20 around 6 pm PST. Don’t worry if you miss it, the house isn’t fully complete yet (although very close) so I’m thinking about doing a house tour in my very first YouTube video! Let me know if you guys would be interested!

HA! Only 150k? Australian prices are stupid crazy. I’ve been in this process of buying my first home for nearly five long years now. It’s just ridiculous. I REALLY had my heart set on a small townhouse that went to auction last week that was SEVERELY underquoted (something that is just legally “normal” these days now). It went over by 500,000. That’s just standard too. Sigh. BTW Sydney is even worse than where I live too. So MAJOR congrats on this purchase. I can relate to your story and am really happy for you guys!
