Have you guys ever been on the Microsoft headquarters campus before? It’s beautiful, lush, and colorful, especially during this time of year! Last weekend, we came back out to my work area to photograph this casual fall outfit and, of course, for the perfect fall photos.

I literally work right across the street from this spot so I’ve been eyeing it for a while. If you’ve never heard of Redmond, it’s a suburb and home to Microsoft. Other than during working hours, it’s a very quiet area. Funny enough though, a ton of people had the same idea that day and this spot was filled with families also wanting fall photos!

One of my favorite casual fall outfit combinations is made up of a long cardigan and jeans. This combination is super simple and classic yet very chic. It never goes out of style and something that I can wear every day. Since velvet is so hot this season, I wanted to try out this velvet look-alike long cardigan – it’s actually made of polyester but I love how it is soft and adds texture. For reference, I’m wearing a size XS and it runs true to size.

I always like to wear a t-shirt or cami/tank underneath the long cardigan – you really can’t go wrong with either option. As it gets colder, just add a blanket scarf! Mine is from Nordstrom and only $22! It’s pretty thin but blanket scarves can really swallow me up sometimes so this is a good in between. I usually try to coordinate the color of my cardigan with colors from the scarf. It brings the whole casual fall outfit together and creates a cohesive look!

    I would definitely want to go back to work on a weekend if it looked this pretty outside! I’m glad you managed to get some amazing photos despite the many visitors on campus. I love, love this fall outfit on you too! That cardigan is the perfect color and I love the velvety texture.     Redmond is such a beautiful area! I visited the Microsoft campus last year in the fall and definitely remember all the colorful leaves on the campus! Also I’m loving your outfit…the plaid scarf paired with the striped top is such a pretty combination!

    That is such a beautiful cardigan! I love the texture and you’re right, the colour coordination with your scarf is just perfect! This is such a nice outfit, the kind I usually wear (although not as stylishly!) when it’s cooler.
