Hey everyone! Today is the first day of Early Access for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017! I don’t want to bombard you with a ton of posts about it but it is an awesome sale and I definitely think it’s worth sharing and talking about.
I’ll dedicate two blog posts, including this one to this sale (initial top picks and review of items I order) and I hope you’ll find them helpful since I know shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017 can be a little overwhelming!
WHAT IS THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE 2017 + IMPORTANT DATES?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is Nordstrom’s biggest annual event where they release brand new fall merchandise at a discount. Everyone flocks to it because the items are for a future season versus the traditional old items that retailers are trying to get rid of. I know we’re in the middle of summer – how can you think about sweaters and boots? But this is the perfect time to stock up on cold weather basics and also get your hands on fall shoes, especially boots since they can be so expensive!
Here are the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017 dates to keep in mind:
- July 13-20, 2017 – Early Access: Nordstrom cardholders get exclusive early access to the sale both in store and in person. If in store, you may need to show a sales associate your Nordstrom card (debit or credit), and if online, you will need to sign into your account and confirm your card. You do not need to use your Nordstrom card to purchase, although it will help you earn points to get a Nordstrom note.
- July 21 – August 6, 2017 – Public Access: The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017 opens to everyone. You do not need a Nordstrom card to shop online or in store.
- August 7, 2017 – Sale Ends: Prices go back up so be sure to shop by August 6. Some items will still be available after August 6 but at regular prices.
Now that we’ve got the basics down, let’s get shopping! When shopping for your fall wardrobe, focus on tops, sweaters, jackets, boots, and accessories. Think about basics and how you can layer those pieces to elevate your looks. Also determine if you’re missing any fall essentials like over the knee boots and make a shopping list. I’ll be sharing a few fall outfits from previous years to get some fall inspo going!
TOPS + SWEATERS UNDER $100
For tops and sweaters, I like a combination of ones that are basic for layering and some that are just so cute on their own. Here are my favorites under $100 from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017!
CARDIGANS UNDER $65
I love layering cardigans over basic tees and delicate camis, and sometimes adding scarves. I found these sweaters all under $65. Try different textures and colors! The blush cardigan I’m wearing also came back this year in a slightly different version!
DRESSES UNDER $100
Dresses are so versatile for fall – style them with booties or over the knee boots. I like simple and classic ones that you can layer with scarves if needed. Check out these dresses under $100. I also threw in a few picks that would be elegant and pretty for holiday parties!
JACKETS + COATS UNDER $150
Jackets and coats can be pretty pricey so try to stock up on them now. There weren’t a ton that I liked from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2017 but here are some of my top picks. I’ve worn that faux leather jacket year after year!
ACCESSORIES UNDER $150
As you can see from these outfit photos, I carry this reversible tote bag A LOT. I think it’s time for me to get a new everyday bag. Here are some cute bags, jewelry, and scarves that I’m eyeing!
SHOES UNDER $150
Last but not least, fall/winter shoes! I CAN’T BELIEVE that these Marc Fisher OTK boots are on sale. I swear by my Marc Fisher boots and will only buy their OTK boots now – I have two pairs and you can read my detailed review here.
