Ruffle Skirt and Gold Jewelry

Hi guys! You know that I’ve always loved gold jewelry and it’s something that I’ve been sporting since I was little. Growing up, my mom would gift me gold jewelry (and sometimes jade) for very special occasions and milestones like turning one and high school graduation. Ever since, I’ve also gotten into more inexpensive gold fashion jewelry, but I love going back to timeless pieces. I’m excited to be teaming up with JTV.com again (previous post here) and this time we’re talking about how to transition your day outfit to night with simple and classic gold jewelry!

When transitioning an outfit from day to night, gold jewelry will be one of your key weapons. There’s something about adding a touch of sparkling jewelry that helps the outfit become more polished and glam. You can go for statement pieces, or like I did here, lean towards classic jewelry because sometimes less is more.

Necklaces are typically my favorite jewelry to wear and this one is the 10k Yellow Gold Byzantine Link Center Station 18 Inch Necklace. It’s very delicate and the design suits every age. I’ve been more into earrings lately as well since it draws attention to your face and helps shape it. My face is round so longer earrings, like the 10k Yellow Gold Filigree Chandelier Earrings, will help elongate it. Last but not least, don’t forget to glam up your wrists with some gold link bracelets!

So I’m all about the ruffles in this outfit – ruffle top, ruffle skirt, and (yes, I had to) ruffle bow clutch. A girl can never have too many ruffles, right? This outfit is feminine, chic, and a little dressy. It’s great for work, and with some gold pizzaz, you can also wear it out on a dinner date with your boo! The ruffle skirt is right under $100 and is made of 100% cotton – comfy alert!

Tina’s Tip: I pulled this skirt up to my waist and wore it like a pencil skirt. This helps accentuate your waist and makes it much more flattering! My only complaint is that this ruffle skirt gets wrinkly easily. For reference, it fits true to size but you could probably size down if you’re in between.
