They come in many different shapes, sizes, colors, and prints. I’m sharing three reasons why you need to add bell sleeves to your wardrobe this spring and summer!

Why you need bell sleeves

  • They suit different body shapes: No matter your shape or size, there’s a bell sleeve out there for everyone. For instance, if you’re apple shaped, bell sleeves add volume to your arms and this will help balance out your broader shoulders. They also work for pear, straight, and hourglass body shapes since they help you look more proportionate. Just make sure to balance out the whole look. The safest way to do this is by pairing your bell sleeve tops with high-waisted skirts/shorts or skinny/straight bottoms.
  • Make a statement: Bell sleeves are major statement makers. The bigger they are, the more dramatic the outfit will be. I love really structured ones that will sure make you standout, like what I’m wearing in this post. Prefer to be more subtle? No worries, sometimes less is more and there are tons of simple bell sleeves options (like here) that can still make a statement as well.
  • Add a feminine touch: Bell sleeves are one of the easiest ways to add something sweet and darling to your look. They are so feminine, playful and flirty. I love the ones with bows, or that are multi-tiered, or are made of lace.

Like I mentioned, bell sleeves can be for everyone. Down below, I’ve curated many options whether you like them subtle or dramatic. In this post, I went for more voluminous sleeves and love how fabulous they are. Tina’s Tips: This top needs a lot of ironing and I went up one size.     I think you make a great case for adding bell sleeves to your wardrobe. Although, I have to say that looking at this outfit was enough to convince me that I need to buy a top with bell sleeves. I love the dramatic effect and the fact that it’s so versatile.     I’ve never tried bell sleeves before but I definitely want to try it now. My only concern is that I’m too think and maybe I would look like a hanger with bell sleeves on. lol Just this thought though

    I have a few tops I bought last winter that have bell sleeves. Now I have been eyeing some off-the-shoulder blouses with bell sleeves for spring/summer.
