I don’t know about you guys but Seattle was on an unusual cold spell this winter. We typically only get freezing tempsย for 1-2 weeks total, but this year it lasted for more than a month! I’ve never worn puffer jackets before but this was definitely the year to get one. So here it is…introducing my first ever puffer jacket!
Now that I have one, I don’t know what took me so long to get one. This cute puffer jacket is from Nordstrom and is as cozy as can be. It’s lightweight and heavenly filled with down-and-feather insulation. All of the puffer jackets I’ve tried on make me feel like a marshmallow but this one has adjustable snap sides at the waist to help define your figure. The removable faux fur trimming at the hood also adds some femininity and style to a rather big and fluffy coat. I think the best surprise for me is that the pockets at the front are lined with fleece! I hate having cold hands so it feels AH-mazingย to tuck my hands in those warm pockets.
For reference, I’m wearing this puffer jacket in a size XS and it fits true to size. However, based on other reviews I read, it looks like some people thought it ran small. My advice is to stick with your true size, but if you’re in between sizes,ย try going up one. If you’re wanting to really layer up underneath, also size up.
Lastly, I have to mention that thisย puffer jacketย is on major sale. It went from $198 to $89.50! I’m all about deals so I couldn’t wait to share this tidbit with you guys. It seems like the cold won’t end here in Portland either, but luckily there are some great puffer jackets out there to keep us warm. I think you made a great choice with your first puffer jacket, I really love the hood and that it has adjustable snap sides. I also think you picked out some other great options. I didn’t know puffer jackets were a thing until I moved to Chicago since it was mainly just fleece jackets in Seattle. Gosh I hope the cold weather doesn’t stay around too much.
