Off the shoulder has been one of the hottest trends since summer and even now through fall. However, with Seattle’s colder and wet fall season, I was super hesitant to hop on the super hip off the shoulder sweater wagon. It just wasn’t practical for me since I wouldn’t be able to wear it often. But that all changed when I found this particular off the shoulder sweater…

What’s different about this one is that it doesn’t have to be worn as an off the shoulder sweater (say whattt?)! Yes, that’s right. It’s not advertised this way on the Nordstrom website, but you could easily pull up the neckline to transform it into a classic cowl neck sweater! It takes only a few seconds to do this and voila! You have one versatile sweater that can be worn to work (with cowl neck) and then later for dinner by showing off those shoulders! You can see how I wore the sweater both ways in the photos. Doesn’t the cowl neck look natural and that the sweater was meant to do this?

For reference, I’m wearing this off the shoulder sweater in a size Small. I went up one size since I wanted a looser fit. Slightly oversized sweaters are always more comfortable anyways! This sweater also features billowy sleeves and the softest, non-itchy fabric. It’s very cozy and I think it’s a steal for $75 since you can wear it multiple ways!

Since we were lucky to have a rare, sunny and warm Sunday, I pulled out the white jeans and wore the top as an off the shoulder sweater. I don’t have many chances to wear these trends during the fall, especially since it rains so much, so I try to wear them whenever I can. Adding my all time favorite pumps, this outfit turned out very effortless and classic! I’m definitely planning to wear this sweater over and over again since I can style it with the cowl neck!

    That sweater looks great on you and I love how you played around with the neckline to change things up. It’s funny, because I have a cowl neck sweater that’s pretty similar to this and I never thought of wearing it off-the-shoulder. That’s a great way to change up your look!     The off the shoulder trend has been my favorite in the last couple of years! I think I purchased too many off the shoulder tops and dresses, but I couldn’t help it! I haven’t tried a sweater with exposed shoulders before, I think I would be too cold to wear it! You look amazing! x

    Oh I love this sweater so much! It looks so soft and cozy. I’m a huge of fan of off the shoulder sweaters. And I really like that this one can be both off the shoulder or more of a cowl neck. So cute!
