A Happy Kimono Accident

pink kimono, pineapple print top, white jeans outfit, petite fashion blog pink kimono, pineapple print top, white jeans outfit, petite fashion blog

Ever wandered in the opposite gender’s bathroom by accident and someone was in there? Or ever swiped a credit card in the bus pass swiper when taking public transportation for the very first time? Yes, I was that SUPER embarrassing girl in both of these situations. Well, this kimono outfit was yet another accident. But thankfully, I’m absolutely loving and flaunting it this time!

So how was it an accident? I actually ordered this waterfall cardigan, but received this pink kimono instead. I was a little confused when I first got it but after I tried it on, I was totally sold. Believe it or not, this is my first kimono ever and I love how light and airy it is. I can see why it’s perfect for summer – it’s great for layering yet still feels oh so breezy. I was thinking I could use it as a swimsuit cover too (yes to anything that has double the function)! I’m wearing a Small and it’s meant to be oversized and loose. This kimono also comes in other prints and colors that all scream “Take me to the beach!”

The pineapple print top was not an accident but the accidental pairing of this top with the pink kimono is so cute and awesome! Also, who doesn’t love pineapple print this season? I’m obsessed and can’t wait to find more. I’m also wearing a Small in this top and it fits true to size.

Since I’m packing big punches of color in this outfit, I wanted everything else to be simple and light. So of course, these white jeans were the answer! I’ve had this J Brand pair since college and am thinking about finally getting new ones. Anyone else been eyeing Topshop white jeans?

Looking back, I’m so happy this kimono accident happened. The cardigan that I initially picked isn’t as summery. Also, for disclosure, I didn’t place my order through the normal check out process so there was just a minor miscommunication. Other than this, All For Color was professional and shipping was fast. Definitely give them a chance! You can use code TINABIT for 20% off + free shipping on orders of $50+ through 7/31!

When I first saw the photos in this post without reading your text yet, I was like, “whoa, this is a lot brighter and flowier than Tina’s layers usually look!” and really loving how you paired this with the pineapple print. Such a happy accident! I think it’s awesome that you took the challenge of styling the kimono and ended up loving it. I can’t quite figure out how to style one still for the life of me… haha
