This faux fur vest from AKIRA just arrived on Friday and the timing couldn’t be any better (I have a little story about this below)! It was super chilly in Seattle over the weekend and this furry number definitely kept me warm! What’s great about a faux fur vest in general is that it’s easy to pair with – I’ve seen others style it with a buttoned up shirt or even a long sleeved dress underneath. I liked wearing mine with this Asos cable knit sweater for extra warmth.

When wearing a faux fur vest, be conscious of your outfit proportions. My faux fur vest was long and thick so I kept it slimmed on the bottom with my favorite skinny Topshop ripped jeans (it’s all about balance)! These lace up heels also helped me look slimmer since they elongated my legs.

I went a little accessory heavy in today’s look, especially since I recently just got all of this jewelry. I love my Marc Bale rose gold crystal watch, a new watch line that The Peach Box launched. So here’s the little story I was mentioning above. My package with the faux fur vest got lost and was delivered to the wrong address. AKIRA confirmed they never received it back either (they were super kind and sent me another package). Needless to say, I was so sure that the package was stolen and was thinking, “I can’t believe someone would do that!” A few weeks later, it magically appeared at my condo! The box was unopened, had “Return to Sender” written all over it and somehow got delivered to me. I know this is a very small example but I guess the moral of the story is – I shouldn’t be such a scrooge. Even though crazy and sad things are always happening in this world (like this past weekend), I believe there are still a lot of good people out there <3.

    This outfit looks so pretty. I’m so partial to pale neutral colors and it’s great for texture to layer a white fur vest over a white top! I’m also in love with pale shoes in the winter. And your nails are the best contrast! Great look and I’m looking forward to reading more!

    Love the super cute faux fur vest! I wish I can wear one here but it’s so hot. It’s been raining all day the last couple of days and even though in my mind, I think I could wear a faux fur vest, it’s just too hot for it haha!
