To be honest, I thought this outfit was going to be fluke. I put it together within a few minutes and didn’t think beanies were my thing. BUT, I have to say, this turned out to be my favorite fall outfit idea to-date! I guess that’s what happens when you don’t put too much thought into it and just go with your gut (trust me, I could stare at my closet for hours trying to come up with some looks)!
The basis of this fall outfit idea started off with this SheIn floral crochet t-shirt. I love how interesting and intricate the crochet details are since they really draw your attention! This floral crochet is only $25 and is more like a blouse than a t-shirt. The quality is great, and the fit is true to size, although I think the sleeves are slightly big and poofy.
With bigger sleeves, I wanted to play with the proportions and paired the floral crochet t-shirt with a full skirt. The top and skirt alone looked a little fancy for me for this particular day. However, with the right fall accessories and layering pieces, I transformed this look into a casual fall outfit! First off, you NEED these DKNY tights (you can’t sport bare legs in the cold)! This BLANKNYC faux leather jacket has also been a fave for the past couple of years and is that perfect cool and edgy piece. Lastly, I am obsessed with this big pom pom beanie! I really didn’t think I would ever wear a beanie other than for snowboarding, but I think you’ll see me in this many more times!
