Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary party because that clip of them dancing and my dad dancing with my daughters will forever be one of my favorite memories 🥹

My parents fled Vietnam in 1975 after the war ended. When they arrived in Washington to meet their sponsors, my dad happened to see my mom and aunt at the airport struggling and not knowing any English. He stepped in to help them then pursued my mom for the next six months. They got married shortly after in 1976 and the rest is history!

As recent refugees starting over in a new country, they didn’t have much money, so they had a small, simple wedding. That’s why I knew I wanted to make their 50th anniversary party extra special and give them the beautiful celebration they never had. Happy 50th anniversary to my parents!! ❤️🥂 #50years #anniversaryparty

It’s In the Details: Sweater, Zippered Jeans, and Leopard Flats

Sweater: Banana Republic (similar here)
Jeans: Topshop Moto Biker (splurge on these)
Shoes: Sole Society Chandler Flat (also available in solid colors, similar here)
Bag: Street Level via Nordstrom
Necklaces: Baublebar on sale! (similar here) and Sterling Forever c/o
Watch: Daniel Wellington Classic Sheffield Lady c/o

When my outfit is simple, I like to add pops of textures, patterns, and details to make it more intriguing. In today’s look, I mixed this layered-look knitted sweater with tough Topshop biker zippered jeans. This cute Sole Society pair of strapped leopard flats has also been on repeat and, in my opinion, is the star of this outfit!

By the way, I also carried this bag in a previous post.  Since it’s reversible I wore it as brown this time instead of black (still can’t get over that it’s only $48)!
