Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary party because that clip of them dancing and my dad dancing with my daughters will forever be one of my favorite memories 🥹

My parents fled Vietnam in 1975 after the war ended. When they arrived in Washington to meet their sponsors, my dad happened to see my mom and aunt at the airport struggling and not knowing any English. He stepped in to help them then pursued my mom for the next six months. They got married shortly after in 1976 and the rest is history!

As recent refugees starting over in a new country, they didn’t have much money, so they had a small, simple wedding. That’s why I knew I wanted to make their 50th anniversary party extra special and give them the beautiful celebration they never had. Happy 50th anniversary to my parents!! ❤️🥂 #50years #anniversaryparty

Classy Stripes

Top: Topshop (similar here, here)
Skirt: H&M (similar here, here)
Coat: Zara (similar here, here)
Shoes: Louise et Cie on sale! (similar here, here)
Scarf: Gap (similar here, here)
Watch: Daniel Wellington (similar here)

As I was looking through my old work clothes, which have been tucked away ever since I left my previous job that required business attire, I decided that not all of it should go to waste. To style a pencil skirt more casually, I paired it with a loose cotton top, a cozy striped scarf, and these killer pumps for a classy and wearable look.

These are certainly classy stripes, you suit them so well! I have also been recycling old work clothing from business-attire offices, as it seems such a waste for them to be sitting in my wardrobe and not seeing the light of day. You look wonderful and I've got a lot of love for the Zara coat! 🙂
