Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary party because that clip of them dancing and my dad dancing with my daughters will forever be one of my favorite memories 🥹

My parents fled Vietnam in 1975 after the war ended. When they arrived in Washington to meet their sponsors, my dad happened to see my mom and aunt at the airport struggling and not knowing any English. He stepped in to help them then pursued my mom for the next six months. They got married shortly after in 1976 and the rest is history!

As recent refugees starting over in a new country, they didn’t have much money, so they had a small, simple wedding. That’s why I knew I wanted to make their 50th anniversary party extra special and give them the beautiful celebration they never had. Happy 50th anniversary to my parents!! ❤️🥂 #50years #anniversaryparty

The Romper

Romper: Eight Sixty (similar here, in love with this floral version)
Shoes: Kate Spade (solid colors here, love this version)
Bag: Pour la Victoire (also like these totes here and here)
Accessories: J.Crew Factory necklace (similar here and here) // Ann Taylor belt (similar here)

Rompers, aka adult onesies, are so easy to wear, especially on days when you are on a time crunch and just want to quickly put an outfit together. I recently got this Eighty Six navy one through Piperlime (now sold out), threw on a belt, some bling bling, lemon-print shoes and was out of the door within 10 minutes (after curling my hair, of course). Since this romper has a draping neck and is made of chiffon, it could also easily be dressed up with a blazer and hot heels for a night out!
