Who is already starting their holiday shopping? With baby girl #2 on the way and due in mid-December, I am doing my best to plan things way ahead this year. One of my favorite things to do is put together gift baskets as you’ve seen on my Instagram. So today I’m sharing a self care holiday gift basket idea. Because who wouldn’t want something like this to take care of themselves after a busy holiday season? I know I just want to cozy up and relax!
When putting together a gift basket, I always make a list of what I want to put in it first. Since this is a self care holiday gift basket, I thought of relaxing things like a comfy cable knit throw, face masks, body wash and scrub, and a seasonal candle. With those in mind, I knew I needed a bigger basket. I usually go for classic and neutral baskets so that they can be used in any home. But I saw this black metal Christmas tree storage basket at HomeGoods and knew I had to get it! It’s a fun seasonal item but if you turn it around, it’s still timeless, chic, and can be used all year round!
Once I found the storage basket, I went hunting for the rest of the self care holiday gift basket items at HomeGoods. I like to have a color scheme and I went with the traditional Christmas colors of red and green. I put these items in the metal storage basket as I was shopping around to see how everything fits. For the final magical touch, I added fairy lights to make it extra festive and warm.
