Stripes are one of my absolute favorite prints to incorporate in a summer wardrobe. They’re easy, classic, and so chic! That’s why this casual striped blouse outfit has been on heavy rotation lately, both on the weekends and weekdays!
This striped blouse is from Chicwish and I love everything about it! The beautiful crochet flower lace trim extends from across the chest to the flared sleeves and even to the back. The silhouette of this top is also very feminine and flattering. It’s meant to fit loose with a subtle ruffle hemline. I’m wearing a Small/Medium and it fits well. There is some room (so I can see why it’s a S/M) but doesn’t look too oversized. It’s perfect for hiding my food belly!
When I wore this striped blouse outfit last weekend, I couldn’t wait to pair it with my new platform wedge sandals. I recently got these shoes from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and they’re already sold out (8/2/16: they’ve been re-stocked here!)! If you get a chance to get your hands on them, they fit true to size and are very light and comfortable. I’m loving the girly lace up detail too. If you’re looking for comparable wedges, try these out. I have them as well and they’re great!

Outfit Details: Striped Blouse c/o Chicwish | Ripped Skinny Jeans | Platform Wedge Sandals
In last week’s posts, I mentioned that I wanted to talk about items from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that didn’t work for me. I wish I had photos to share (I need a big mirror to take outfit selfies in the living room!), but hopefully this information will still be helpful.
- I really wanted to like the ASTR Floral Print Romper. Unfortunately, it runs small and is tight around the waist. The torso length is also meant for taller girls (I’m 5’4″) so it was baggy from the shoulder section to the waist. It’s also extremely low cut – you would need to wear a bandeau or something similar if you don’t want it to be too revealing.
- You know my obsession with ruffled sweaters. But the Chelsea28 ruffle hem sweater is not flattering. The ruffles made my hips look large (probably because it’s not petite-friendly and too long) and I also don’t like how sheer the sweater is.
- I would love the Glamorous Waffle Knit Midi Jacket for fall. The description says it’s meant to be oversized, but the XS is huge on me. It also doesn’t provide any shape and just swallows my body.
Been waiting for this post ever since I saw the top on Insta. Love it so much! Fun shoes too.
