It’s back to basics today and I’m sharing with you this very simple style that can be easily achieved and you can’t mess up! I’m sure you have all of these staples in your closest already – a white v neck tshirt, skinny ripped jeans, and a long cardigan – so let’s get started!

It can be hard to find the perfect tee, but I’m lucky to have already found mine. This Leith v neck tshirt is oversized and it doesn’t eat up my body. The key to wearing an oversized shirt is to slightly tuck only the front part in. You can leave the sides and back untucked. This makes the tee less boxy and also gives you that effortless vibe. My tee is no longer available but this Nordstrom BP one looks just like it. Once this tshirt is destroyed by me wearing it too much, I’ll probably get this Nordstrom BP one myself!

Once you find your perfect tee, you just need a pair of well fitting skinny jeans. I prefer jeans with rips to add more details to the look and this Topshop pair has been my go-to over the last year. It’s all about balance so if you’re wearing an oversized top – keep it skinny and slim on the bottom!

Once you have this simple style down (the tshirt and skinny jeans), you can really make this outfit yours! Pair the combo with a bright pair of flats (like these coral ones) and matching bag and you have yourself a vibrant and spring look. You could also dress it up with a pair of Valentino pumps and throw a luxe blazer over it for a very classic and chic outfit. For me, I kept this very simple and monochromatic by pairing it with a long drape cardigan and some edgy chunky pointed booties. How would you style your tshirt and jeans combo?

    I love how you manage to look elegant and chic even in a “simple” outfit! A pair of skinny jeans and a t-shirt are definitely a must have go-to outfit in my book. I love that you added that drapey sweater because it adds a subtle hint of color and it’s such pretty shade for spring.
