Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary party because that clip of them dancing and my dad dancing with my daughters will forever be one of my favorite memories 🥹

My parents fled Vietnam in 1975 after the war ended. When they arrived in Washington to meet their sponsors, my dad happened to see my mom and aunt at the airport struggling and not knowing any English. He stepped in to help them then pursued my mom for the next six months. They got married shortly after in 1976 and the rest is history!

As recent refugees starting over in a new country, they didn’t have much money, so they had a small, simple wedding. That’s why I knew I wanted to make their 50th anniversary party extra special and give them the beautiful celebration they never had. Happy 50th anniversary to my parents!! ❤️🥂 #50years #anniversaryparty

Rules are Meant to Be Broken

Top: J.Crew (similar here and here)
Jeans: Zara (also love these and these)
Jacket: BLANKNYC via Nordstrom (available in black, grey, and fuchsia)
Booties: Sole Society (similar here and here)
Accessories: Vince Camuto necklace (similar here and here)  // Tory Burch crossbody (also love this)

So I guess I broke the no-wearing-white-after-Labor-Day-rule…but I couldn’t help it since it was so nice in Seattle!  To make sure I still looked “fall-ish” with this pair of white denim, I styled it with a loose grey tee and my go-to burgundy leather jacket.  I also threw on these nude cut-out booties to up my cool-girl-look factor.  It’s ok to break the rules sometimes, right ;)?
