Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary party because that clip of them dancing and my dad dancing with my daughters will forever be one of my favorite memories 🥹

My parents fled Vietnam in 1975 after the war ended. When they arrived in Washington to meet their sponsors, my dad happened to see my mom and aunt at the airport struggling and not knowing any English. He stepped in to help them then pursued my mom for the next six months. They got married shortly after in 1976 and the rest is history!

As recent refugees starting over in a new country, they didn’t have much money, so they had a small, simple wedding. That’s why I knew I wanted to make their 50th anniversary party extra special and give them the beautiful celebration they never had. Happy 50th anniversary to my parents!! ❤️🥂 #50years #anniversaryparty

Basics: Denim Button-Up and Leggings

Shirt: J.Crew (similar here, here)
Leggings: BP Nordstrom (similar here)
Coat: Zara (similar here, here, here)
Shoes: Steve Madden (similar here, here)
Bag: Coach (similar here)
Necklace: J.Crew Factory (similar here, here)

I was in a hurry on Saturday (yes, I’m that girl that is always running late) so I quickly threw on my favorite basic pieces – a denim button-up shirt, leggings, and booties.  The result was this outfit and it’s actually one of my favorite looks to-date since it was so effortless and I didn’t have to put much thought into it! Don’t you just love it when that happens?
