Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary party because that clip of them dancing and my dad dancing with my daughters will forever be one of my favorite memories 🥹

My parents fled Vietnam in 1975 after the war ended. When they arrived in Washington to meet their sponsors, my dad happened to see my mom and aunt at the airport struggling and not knowing any English. He stepped in to help them then pursued my mom for the next six months. They got married shortly after in 1976 and the rest is history!

As recent refugees starting over in a new country, they didn’t have much money, so they had a small, simple wedding. That’s why I knew I wanted to make their 50th anniversary party extra special and give them the beautiful celebration they never had. Happy 50th anniversary to my parents!! ❤️🥂 #50years #anniversaryparty

Buffalo Plaid Shirt Dress

Shirt Dress: BB Dakota (other colors here, here)

Coat: Zara (similar here, also love this, this)
Belt: Thrifted in Vietnam (similar here from Target, here, here)
Booties: Steven by Steve Madden (similar here, here, here)
Crossbody: Tory Burch (similar here, here, here)
Tights: DKNY

Happy new year everyone!  This is my first post of 2015 and I’m sharing what I wore to ring in the new year!  I kept my outfit semi-casual with this BB Dakota buffalo plaid shirt dress since it was a pretty low-key night, just the way I like it!  I had some friends over to eat, drink, and watch fireworks from my rooftop (see my fireworks Instagram photo here).  What did you wear and how did you celebrate?
