Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th Had to share one last recap of my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary party because that clip of them dancing and my dad dancing with my daughters will forever be one of my favorite memories 🥹

My parents fled Vietnam in 1975 after the war ended. When they arrived in Washington to meet their sponsors, my dad happened to see my mom and aunt at the airport struggling and not knowing any English. He stepped in to help them then pursued my mom for the next six months. They got married shortly after in 1976 and the rest is history!

As recent refugees starting over in a new country, they didn’t have much money, so they had a small, simple wedding. That’s why I knew I wanted to make their 50th anniversary party extra special and give them the beautiful celebration they never had. Happy 50th anniversary to my parents!! ❤️🥂 #50years #anniversaryparty

Hi and welcome to my first ever blog post!  In the past two years, I’ve contemplated over and over about whether I should start this blog.  I wasn’t sure about what people would say or think, but I recently spoke to a close childhood friend, Dr. Seuss, who reminded me, “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.”  Feeling encouraged (although I’m still super nervous as we speak), I created Just a Tina Bit as a source to share with you (and hopefully inspire too!) a glimpse of my personal style as well as my other loves like cooking, interior design, and travel.  I hope you join and support me on this new, exciting journey as a beginner blogger (who is very new to taking and editing photos) along with my boo (who was forced, with love of course, into becoming a beginner photographer)!

Welcome to the blogging world! You definitely did all the right things starting out. Looking back I would have taken better photos and had my blog professionally designed, but alas, it's all about growth and I'm so happy where mine is now. Anyways, love the quote. Because blogging really is all about being you. There's no point in trying to replicate someone else's look, blog or success, because at the end of the day it's already been done, and you bring a new perspective! Well that's my long advice LOL not that you even asked for any. Just saying, keep up the good work! Newest reader right here girl 🙂
