Continuing with my wedding content, I’m sharing 8 poses to take with your wedding party! As you guys know, Jeff and I planned our entire wedding ourselves. When we were coordinating photo timelines with our photographers, they also asked us what kind of photos and poses we liked. My advice is to share inspiration of what you want and put examples in a document in advance for your photographers to refer to. Pinterest was my main source for inspiration, and I’m loving these 8 poses we took with our wedding party!

1. Getting Ready Photos
One of the very first things you’ll do on your wedding day is get ready with your wedding party. It’s an exciting way to kick off the day and get glammed up with your bridesmaids or groomsmen. I love these photos in our bridesmaids robes and popping champagne. The guys also look super dapper in their tuxes!
2. Bridesmaids First Look
I had no idea bridesmaids first look was a thing but I’m so glad our photographers had us do this. It’s so sweet to see how my girl gang candidly react to my complete wedding look!
3. Bride and Groom Kiss while Wedding Party Cheers
This is one of my all time favorite poses to take with your wedding party. Our photographers directed us to go in for a big kiss while everyone throws up their hands in the air to cheer us on. The groom can also pick up or dip the bride. The result is both romantic and so much fun!
4. Wedding Party Walking / Making a Tunnel
I love photos that look natural and have movement. To do this, you can have the entire wedding party walk while chit chatting, giggling, and looking at each other. You can also have the wedding party create a tunnel with their hands up in the air while the bride and groom run through it. I don’t see this pose often, but it was a fun one to try!
5. Bride and Groom with Their Respective Wedding Party
This is an obvious one, but you should definitely take photos with your respective wedding party. Your bridesmaids and groomsmen have been there for you through the bachelorette / bachelor party, bridal shower, and wedding planning process. Capture photos with your awesome girl / guy gang!
6. Bride / Groom with Flower Girl / Ring Boy
If you have a flower girl or ring boy, don’t forget to strike a few poses with them. Kids just make everything sweeter and cuter!
7. Silly Photos + Photos with Other Party
Silly photos are the best because they show personality and bring so much joy! I laugh at these every time I look at them, and it helps break up all of the pretty, formal photos. You can have the groomsmen hold up the bride or throw up the groom in the air!
8. Individual Photos with Each Bridesmaid and Groomsman
Because we ran out of time to do individual photos with each bridesmaid and groomsman before our ceremony, we almost didn’t do them. But I’m so glad that our photographers suggested to do them after the ceremony along with family portraits. Our wedding party consists of our closest friends so we’ll cherish these individual photos forever. Plus, they’re perfect for reposting on birthdays lol!
